Staff Attorney
Samantha Sitterley

Samantha Sitterley is a licensed attorney in the State of Colorado. Samantha joined the USL team as our first ever Staff Attorney in October 2022

As an attorney, Samantha began to focus on immigration law at Medical Legal Partnership Colorado, a nonprofit project in the Salud Family Health Center in Commerce City, Colorado. She handled over 250 individual cases over three years, including Social Security disability claims, landlord-tenant disputes, advanced directives, protection orders, guardianship actions, education discrimination, as well as a broad spectrum of immigration cases. Samantha later worked at a small immigration law firm representing clients in interviews at USCIS as well as in removal defense in Immigration Court (EOIR) and at the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Samantha is a 2014 graduate of the Tulane Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. In law school at Tulane, Samantha was active in student groups and clinical education. Through various organizations and opportunities, she logged over 550 hours of pro bono service over three years of law school. She continues to be passionate about public service and regularly volunteers in the Boulder community.

Before deciding to become a lawyer, Samantha was a policy analyst for Governor Bill Ritter of Colorado. She tracked state legislation and wrote issue briefs on a variety of agenda items including higher education and sustainable community development. 

Samantha currently lives with her spouse in Boulder, Colorado where she can be found reading, bird watching, or petting a cat.
