🇺🇸 Tatianna is Finally Home

One of the founding members of United Stateless, Tatianna lost her citizenship when her country dissolved. For decades, she lived without a nation to call her own. This year, she officially became a U.S. citizen. Her journey is a testament to resilience, hope, and the power of community. Tatianna is stateless no more — and her triumph reminds us what’s possible when we stand together for belonging and recognition.
⚖️ Holding space in hard times: Navigating ICE Check-ins & Detention
In our second Know Your Rights (KYR) session, we came together as a community to talk through one of the most difficult and painful topics many of us face: ICE check-ins and the threat of detention. Led by our incredible community facilitator Alex, we created space for truth-telling, shared strategies, and honored the emotional weightthese experiences carry. Even in hard conversations, we are reminded that knowledge is power—and that we don’t have to navigate these systems alone.

🗞️ Birthright Citizenship Under Threat: The Right To Belong At Risk
This month, United Stateless was featured in both Reuters and The Christian Science Monitor responding to the Supreme Court’s case on the 14th Amendment— and what’s at stake if birthright citizenship is reinterpreted.
As our Executive Director Karina Ambartsoumian-Clough shared with Reuters:
Ending birthright citizenship would create a subset of people with no legal identity.
In The Christian Science Monitor, Karina sounded the alarm about the consequences of eroding this constitutional right:
This will create children born in this country who have to experience this agony.
